World’s First

AMBA Accredited Online Program

With my help, the University of Birmingham’s Business School achieved a world first by becoming AMBA accredited. That means a fully-online postgraduate programme was recognized by the Association of MBAs—the global gold standard in business education—for meeting the same level of rigor as face-to-face programs.

I led the team that designed the learning experience behind this accreditation. A critical piece of the work was implementing live web conferencing sessions to satisfy AMBA’s requirement for in-person teaching time. (This was well before the pandemic and, in the UK, was not nearly mainstream.) We didn’t just meet the requirement—we created a scalable, high-quality digital classroom experience that made synchronous sessions feel integral rather than an afterthought.

The result? AMBA concluded that the MSc delivers an online learning journey that combines quality and flexibility while equipping students to perform at the highest level in today’s global business environment.

The work wasn’t just about ticking accreditation boxes. It was about proving that online education can be held to the same standard as the world’s most elite in-person programs—without compromise.

Meaning, LLC exists to make these kinds of outcomes possible. By merging cognitive science, product design, and institutional strategy, we help universities scale learning while protecting what makes them unique. Accreditation wins like this one are the visible proof of that mission.
